Know what failed and why
Identify the account and ledger first: a customer invoice in your MSP’s billing workflow is not the same as your Dayrook platform subscription.
Recover a failed payment
Keep your customer’s invoice recovery separate from your MSP’s Dayrook subscription. Review invoice state, notifications and reconciliation, then apply only the service restrictions authorized for that account and agreement.
Try one useful scenario
Fictional example: a client invoice for 100 units is unpaid while the MSP’s platform subscription is paid. A reviewer reconciles the provider transaction ID before deciding any permitted restriction. Ledger A (MSP subscription): invoice S-10, USD 469, provider receipt P-10, paid. Ledger B (client receivable): invoice C-20, USD 100, USD 0 settled, disputed. Review each separately: a client debt does not prove the MSP subscription is unpaid. Preserve invoice, settlement, dispute, reviewer and adjustment IDs; do not restrict access on an unmatched event.
Illustrative evaluation scenario, not a recorded product result.Keep contract, invoice, provider event and reconciliation owner linked. Duplicate or disputed events require a human exception; do not infer one ledger’s state from the other.

Check public evidence and availability →Start with the decision
Identify the account and ledger first: a customer invoice in your MSP’s billing workflow is not the same as your Dayrook platform subscription.
Use defined reminders, grace periods, escalation, restriction, and reactivation steps instead of ad hoc decisions.
Confirm payment and entitlement state, record the decision, and return the account to its approved operating mode.
Follow the work
Use your own operating problem to review each decision and the record it should leave.
Send the approved notice and provide the permitted route to resolve the account issue.
Preserve required access and data handling while limiting services only as policy allows.
Verify payment against the affected invoice or subscription. Review applicable restrictions and record the recovery decision; do not treat a customer invoice event as a Dayrook subscription entitlement change.
Failed-payment recovery
Policy-led commercial recoveryFailed collection remains linked to the account
Permitted payment recovery path is checked
Access changes follow the approved policy
Payment is reconciled before service returns
Notice, decision, state, and result stay linked
Keep subscription, invoice, payment, retry, and entitlement events connected.
Schedule policy-approved notifications, grace stages, review points, and recovery actions.
Apply service-state changes with customer, role, audit, export, and offboarding safeguards.
Questions, answered
No. Data handling follows the approved dunning, suspension, retention, export, and deletion policies.
Reactivation can follow verified payment reconciliation and configured policy; exceptions can require review.
No. Your MSP’s customer invoices and its Dayrook platform subscription are separate commercial records. Confirm which account, agreement and permissions apply before any recovery or service-state action.
