Migration assessment
Work out what should move—and what should stay.
Share your current stack, approximate scale and the work that must keep running. Use the assessment to identify source-system limits, dependencies and a sensible first migration scope.
Feasibility before commitment
Migration workspace
Feasibility before commitmentPrepare a useful first-workflow plan.
The ungated migration planner helps you outline source systems, retained tools, a representative pilot and acceptance checks. Use that draft to guide an inquiry; it is a planning aid, not a completed feasibility assessment or a migration commitment.
Build your migration checklist →Scope the migration safely
Scope the move before you commit.
Share the source systems, approximate scope, planning stage, and constraints needed for an initial feasibility review.
Starting focus: migration assessment
- Name source products and approximate scope without sending exports or credentials.
- Use the assessment to define feasibility and evidence—not to imply a cutover guarantee.
Try this in your evaluation
Pilot acceptance before cutover
Illustrative scenario · use it to plan a test, not as proof of a result
Fictional pilot: plan 10 company records; reconcile 9 matches and 1 duplicate exception. The owner withholds go-live until the duplicate is resolved and a sample workflow passes. Safe inquiry example: “Two source systems, about 200 devices and 10 companies, US region, company-record pilot; exact counts to be reconciled.” Do not include credentials, customer names, exports or sensitive ticket content in the public form.
Define a successful result
Check these support boundaries
- Source system and supported import objects
- Region, authority and secure credential handoff
- Counts, duplicates, history and exclusions
- Owners, reconciliation and retirement gates
Acceptance record
Record source count, imported count, exceptions, evidence, owner, dependencies, acceptance decision and deferred items. Keep credentials outside worksheets and inquiry messages.
Limits to resolve
The current migration directory evidences company-record scope where stated, not universal ticket/history import. Agent coexistence and deployment combinations require a release-specific pilot.
Questions, answered
Migration assessment: common questions
What information should I provide first?
List source products, approximate customers, endpoints and users, priority data and workflows, target timing, and major custom integrations.
Should I send API keys with the request?
No. Credentials should be provided only through an approved secure workflow after scope and purpose are confirmed.
Does the assessment include cutover?
It defines feasibility and next steps. Execution, validation, cutover, and retirement require a separately approved migration plan.
