In brief
What to carry into your Kaseya and Datto evaluation
- Kaseya and Datto now present multiple connected subscriptions and products with endpoint, user, organization, instance, storage, and commitment considerations; Dayrook publishes one device-led platform model with separate protected-user and excess-storage usage.
- The exact Kaseya 365 Endpoint, User, and Ops combination—and whether Datto RMM, Autotask PSA, IT Glue, backup, or other components are already deployed—changes both fit and migration risk.
- Compare complete written orders and matched workflows. Neither a bundle count nor a headline unit establishes a universal winner.

| Decision area | Dayrook | Kaseya and Datto |
|---|---|---|
| Commercial model | Base platform fee, included devices, progressive device bands, unlimited technicians and customers, protected SaaS users, and excess pooled storage. | Endpoint, User, and Ops subscriptions with endpoint, unique-email user, organization, instance, storage, and committed-term considerations. |
| Platform center | One operating layer across endpoint, service, backup, credentials, network, cloud, infrastructure, commercial, governance, and evidence. | A connected portfolio that can include Datto RMM or VSA, endpoint security and backup, Autotask PSA or BMS, IT Glue, quoting, collections, QBR, user security, and SaaS protection. |
| Adoption path | One platform scope with usage outside the included device allowance represented separately. | Certain suites and modules can be purchased independently or combined, so editions, license matching, onboarding, and committed quantities must be mapped. |

Know when each approach may fit better
Dayrook may fit better when
You want to evaluate proposed device economics, unlimited technician access, and one operating and evidence model without assembling separate endpoint, user, operations, and documentation subscriptions.
Kaseya and Datto may fit better when
You already operate Datto RMM, Autotask PSA, IT Glue, or related Kaseya products, or the current Kaseya 365 Endpoint, User, and Ops component bundles match your technical and commercial strategy.
Keep both on the shortlist when
The decisive question is whether transition cost, existing configuration, suite coverage, contract commitments, backup continuity, and cross-component workflow proof outweigh the appeal of a different future operating model.

Model subscriptions, commitments, and total cost
As reviewed October 10, 2026, Kaseya's official page publishes Kaseya 365 Ops at $129 per user per month, with a minimum of three user licenses, a one-year commitment, required onboarding, and seven included operations modules. Kaseya 365 Endpoint is separately quoted and can use Datto RMM or VSA; the official terms also describe User and Endpoint license pools, add-ons, storage overages, and committed service terms. Verify every live amount and term on the purchase date and order form.
Compare the complete Kaseya/Datto order with Dayrook's proposed base fee, included devices, progressive device bands, protected SaaS users, pooled backup storage, excess storage, and customer-paid AI provider. Confirm final Dayrook terms and do not compare an Ops price with a complete Dayrook target scope while leaving Endpoint, User, backup, security, payment processing, or onboarding out.
- Count endpoint licenses, unique-email user licenses, Ops users, organizations, instances, archive users, retained storage, payment processing, and any standalone products.
- Record editions, component substitutions, minimums, committed quantities, billing schedule, onboarding, add-ons, overages, renewal limits, and cancellation rights.
- Model the same devices, technicians, customers, protected users, data, security services, and 12-, 24-, and 36-month growth on both sides.
- Add integration ownership, product administration, training, dual running, data transformation, report recreation, backup continuity, and exit assistance.
Treat each Kaseya and Datto component as a workstream
- Inventory Autotask or BMS companies, tickets, contracts, time, projects, invoices, workflows, reports, and custom fields; Datto RMM agents, monitors, policies, jobs, scripts, alerts, and remote tools; and IT Glue organizations, configurations, documents, passwords, and relationships.
- Map endpoint-security, endpoint-backup, SaaS-protection, user-security, network, quoting, QBR, and collections dependencies, including data retention and customer-facing services.
- Confirm supported API and export paths, component-level identifiers, attachment and history limits, credential handling, throttling, and reconciliation evidence.
- Run coexistence with duplicate-alert controls, billing reconciliation, backup and restore continuity, agent replacement, integration cutover, credential rotation, and a tested rollback point.
- Validate final exports, archives, license reductions where permitted, retention, deletion, agent removal, customer communication, and the committed-term exit plan.
Verify the exact component combination
Ask both vendors to demonstrate the same endpoint, service, documentation, billing, onboarding, backup, SaaS-protection, security, reporting, integration, and exit scenarios under the exact licenses being offered.
Label each result as observed, contractually committed, optional, roadmap, or unknown. Score operating fit and migration risk separately before making the decision.
